♚ —— IT TOOK HIM A moment to notice the presence
beside him as he sat on the railings on the rooftop terrace. The day
had been quite mundane, though the night seemed to fall quickly.
Some of the investigators left early, saying that they had to visit their
fathers. He momentarily wondered if he should visit Shinohara, who
was after all, the only one who was like a father figure to him, only to
be reminded with a dull ache in his chest that the man was still in the
hospital comatose. But at least there was a ( chance ) that he’d wake
up someday. Crimson optics flickered towards the woman beside him,
vocables spilling out carelessly, as he was reminded of how alike their
predicaments were they were both left to spend the day alone.
